Studios vs. Gym Yoga
Many people's first experience with yoga is through a gym class.
As yoga has become more popular, more gyms are offering classes. How does a gym class
compare to what you'll find at a studio?
Smaller Classes
Our typical class has 6-8 students. This means you'll receive more personal attention. Individual attention is important for yoga students at all levels, but it's especially important for beginners.
Certified Yoga Teachers
Our teachers are certified yoga instructors who have years of experience and extensive teacher training. Many are certified in multiple styles of yoga. This breadth of experience means a better, richer practice.
Greater Variety
As a fitness studio, you'll find we offer a greater range of wellness classes providing instruction on different levels and styles.
A Holistic Approach
Yoga means union. After you've practiced for a while, you'll become aware of what a natural, holistic experience it is to synchronize poses, breath, and mental focus. At our studio, you'll find a greater emphasis on this connection between creating a strong body,...and a calm mind
Non-competitive Approach
Yoga is an individual experience, not a competitive sport. It doesn't matter how it looks, it's how it feels in your body that counts. You will never feel pressure in our classes, and students are encouraged to stay within their limits. Instructors offer variations of many poses for students of different levels.
Private Space, Time, and a Personal Trainer
A private studio session provides one-on-one attention and focus. When you invest in Personal Training at Yoga Connection you not only receive one-on-one focused supervision but also 6 hundred square feet of training space for 60 minutes. It's just you and your trainer, with no waiting or distractions. A private space with one-on-one assistance ensures all of your attention and energy is geared to a great workout. This enables you stay focused and motivated!
